A very 60s inspired look today, just the way I like it. I never find it easy to wear these types of wide fit 'sack' dresses, since they are pretty much the opposite of figure flattering, but I gladly make an exception if one of them has cute details like the one I'm wearing today. Also, if it's short enough. Showing some leg is the perfect way to balance out the silhouette. I was particularly fond of how the white buttons down the side match the white pearl/bulb/whatever things that line the top of my sandals - such a fun, playful detail that adds some visual interest to a simple look. I threw on some period appropriate accessories (round shades and a fiddler cap) and called it a day!

I think this dress will be particularly cute in fall, layered over a turtleneck and paired with some overknee boots. But let's not talk about fall yet, I want to pretend summer will last forever. I'm leaving on holiday this week, and although I can't complain having been to California earlier this year, I'm 100% ready for a break before defending my PhD and starting my new job. So please, let summer last a bit longer!
